There are five from Cochranville UMC traveling to Memphis on this year’s team. They are Devin and Austin Gray, Stephanie Harper, Pat and Debbie McCormick. They returned to CUMC on Sunday, July 24th about 3pm.

 

The last seven months have been a time of preparation for the 2011 Youth Mission Team coordinated by Debra DePrinzio of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. The team (a group of 54 people, representatives from several churches) has prepared themselves and their families for this event. We have met together, worshipped together, worked together, and prayed together. On Saturday, July 16 th we will meet at Cochranville United Methodist Church to depart at 6am. Our destination this year is Memphis, Tennessee. These folks have been affected by serious flooding and need much help. We ask that you be in prayer for the people of Memphis. May God prepare their hearts to greet us. We also ask that you pray for us… that God gives us a heart to reach out in love and compassion, not just for their physical needs but their spiritual needs as well. Powerful things happen when we pray! The possibilities are endless! Our prayers are weapons from God that can destroy the enemy’s strong places! (2 Cor. 10:4) We ask God to give us wisdom to encourage and uplift their troubled hearts.
